Bob Carpenter is a nationally-recognized authority on leadership and management practices. An executive coach and consultant for over 20 years, he has worked with public and private companies as well as organizations in the not-for-profit and trade union worlds. His work with executives in North America, Europe, and Asia gives HumanPoint clients a unique resource with experience that is broad yet deep.
Prior to founding his own firm, Bob held sales and management positions at IBM and Digital Equipment Corporation. His background also includes senior roles with management development firms and participation in the launch of two start-up companies, in addition to his own firm.
Bob helps clients understand how their performance can more positively impact their organization, as his focus on motivation and on building workplace relationships heightens employee engagement. He imparts practical ways to resolve on-the-job issues and teaches executives how to inspire their teams, creating in people a passion for the work they do and for the organization in which they do it. Bob is a Certified Associate of the Integro Leadership Institute of Sydney, Australia, and a long-term faculty member of the American Management Association. A former trustee of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, he holds an MBA degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and numerous management development certifications and credentials.
