Dave’s impressive career reflects his lifelong passion for helping others realize their full potential. After earning his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Texas A&M University, Dave embarked on an inspiring 30-year journey in technology and the nonprofit sector.

Leveraging his technical expertise, Dave took on positions of increasing responsibility and leadership, developing high-potential employees through vice presidents along the way. After 11 years in the tech industry, his heart called him to service, leading Dave to take an 8-year sabbatical to direct a youth-oriented nonprofit. There, he recruited, trained, and inspired staff and volunteers to deliver impactful programs supporting young people.

Dave then returned to Microsoft, drawn back by the chance to empower others to grow and succeed in their career journey. As senior program manager, he spearheaded Microsoft Philanthropies’ employee giving campaign, helping it amass nearly $3 billion in total donations throughout the life of the program and achieving 1 million volunteer hours in a single year. Using a train-the-trainer approach, Dave equipped over 1,000 leaders worldwide to enable their teammates to make a difference while experiencing purpose and passion in their jobs. His proudest accomplishment was expanding a U.S.-focused program into one inclusive of nearly 200,000 employees around the world.

Dave’s latest step in pursuing his passion for helping others has brought him to HumanPoint where he believes his multifaceted expertise as an executive coach and senior leadership consultant will achieve the greatest good.

Certified in evidence-based coaching, Dave quickly builds trust through his humor, charisma, and technical insights. His curiosity enables him to listen deeply before asking thoughtful questions that lead to breakthroughs. With care, he guides leaders to actions that create ongoing opportunities for growth.

Dave’s personal passion for service has also taken him around the world. Counseling orphans, aiding military families, and supporting impoverished communities, Dave has seen firsthand how, with support, people can overcome challenges and thrive. Based in Woodinville, Washington, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife and grown children. He also relishes the chance to fly fish, hike, and ski in the area’s beautiful mountains. With his wealth of experience, Dave is committed to empowering individuals and organizations to achieve their highest aspirations.
