“My passion is helping connect people with work that taps into their strengths and helps them thrive.”

Lisa Hilbert brings something no one else on the team does: a lifetime of personal and professional experience in neurodiversity, backed by scientific training in neurobiology and human communication. She coaches neurodiverse employees to tap into their strengths and thrive at their companies — and she educates the leaders around them to create cultures of understanding and acceptance.

This isn’t theoretical for Lisa. She has multiple relatives who are Deaf, blind, on the autism spectrum, or have mental health support needs, and she navigated her own learning differences through academic accommodations in college and graduate school. That lived experience gives her a depth of empathy and practical insight that can’t be taught in a certification program.

Lisa brings an enthusiastic energy and fresh perspective to stuck problems and roadblocks. She relies on intuition and empathy to listen effectively and uncover deeper issues. With a background in scientific research and neurobiology, she offers specialized knowledge in learning, information processing, evidence-based practices, and social and interpersonal skills development.

Trained in the creative problem-solving and goal-setting tools PATH® and MAPS®, Lisa uses her illustration skills to help visualize ideas and map a way forward — a unique approach that brings abstract challenges into focus.

Lisa holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication Disorders and Spanish from the University of Redlands, where she studied abroad at the Universidad Católica Argentina. She conducted independent research on autism and the educational system in Argentina and has presented at international conferences in English and Spanish throughout Latin America and the United States. She also holds a Master of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Washington and has been coaching in the greater Seattle area since 2011.

Why I Coach

I grew up watching brilliant people in my own family be misunderstood — not because they lacked ability, but because the world wasn’t designed for the way they think. I coach because I believe when we help neurodiverse individuals find their strengths, and help organizations truly support them, everyone benefits. Different minds don’t just belong at the table — they make the table better.
