Mike Thompson is a strategic and innovative talent and organizational development coach with more than 20 years of experience. His work includes a decade leading teams responsible for managing leadership and professional development programs at large organizations. Mike’s known for assisting businesses in maximizing their effectiveness, as well as his ability to help leaders navigate through complex organizational dynamics to achieve career success.

Mike brings a passion for supporting leaders at all organizational levels, from first-time supervisors to seasoned executives. His approach aids individuals in assessing and exploring their unique strengths to reach their full potential as leaders and make the most impact. Mike’s work with individuals, teams, and organizations frequently focuses on areas such as emotional intelligence, leadership branding, executive presence, team leadership, influence, cross-cultural effectiveness, and diversity, equity and inclusion.

In addition to his work with domestic companies, Mike brings experience with foreign-owned firms headquartered in Spain and Japan. He’s familiar with a wide variety of industries, including insurance, financial services, healthcare, hospitality, consumer electronics, automotive, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, specialty chemicals, and public transit.

Mike earned his MBA from the University of Virginia and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tulane University. Looking to continuously build his skills, he holds professional certifications in leadership coaching, 360-degree and 180-degree assessments, personality assessments, facilitation, instructional design, human capital strategy, servant leadership, and emotional intelligence.

Mike and his wife live in Los Angeles County with their two children. Growing up near Hollywood, he’s always been an avid movie fan. He also enjoys reading, travel, tennis, and cycling.
